On the last day of the conference Christiane Floyd was awarded the EUSSET-IISI Lifetime Achievement Award for being a pioneer within the field of Human Centered Software Engineering.

Leysia Palen, University of Colorado, Boulder, USA and Svend Brinkmann, Aalborg University, Denmark, will be giving the keynotes at this year’s ECSCW conference.

ECSCW 2011 received 85 competitive paper and note submissions. After
extensive review, 22 were selected to form the core of the technical program
for this year’s conference.
Poster submissions graphically illustrating original CSCW systems, experiences, or applications are invited. Successful posters will be on show for the duration of the conference.
Poster submissions should include an extended abstract of no longer than 2 pages, including all figures and references. It should state the contribution and originality of the work clearly and explicitly, including just enough background to make clear how the work differs from significant prior research.
Submissions should be submitted through the EasyChair system.
